Born as Storks in 1985 in Pontedera (Pisa). Their music is Psychedelic Progressive with wild rhythm & blues touches. After a demo-tape release called “Feeling Crawly” the band play many concerts and they opened for Pretty Things gig in Florence in 1988. In 1990 Michele Profeti and Stefano Gabbani joined Daniele Caputo forming legendary Psych-Prog Mellotron dominated group STANDARTE.
In 2012 all members back together again with the addition of a second guitar player Sandro Vitolo and a new explosive female singer Martina Vivaldi…a sort of Janis Joplin meets Lynda Hoyle… MERRY GO ROUND was born, Vintage keyboards (original Mellotron, Hammon Organ and Moog) lead their fascinating sound, electric guitars duel on a psycho-blues rhythm, their music will capture you dipping in a real 70s Psych-Prog atmosphere.
